Meeting called to order at 7:11PM by Patrick B and 2nd by Nate Johnson

Introduction of Residents

Motion to Accept the Minutes by Angela Miller and 2nd by Jane Reed. Motion passed

TREASURERS' REPORT – Curt

MARCH 12, 2024 

1. Bank balance as of March 10th - $7623.33 

2. Just paid Chad for 2023 electricity bill March 1st - $2541.50 

3. Community Lawn Care check just came as well $152.34 

4. Community Lawn Care Agreement - 5 % commission. Services covered and NOT covered was discussed 

5. Wright County Soil and Water Conservation District - $500 check came in November 

6. Lake monitoring samples - $300 for 2023 

7. Weed treatment for 2023 $8908.68


  • Motion to Accept the Treasure Report by Lisa Benson and 2nd by Jane Reed. Motion passed

Curly Leaf Pondweed Update: 

  • Price has gone up to 
    • $9,220.18, up $300 from last year
    • In the past we used Midwest Aqua Care was $200 - $250 per household for the first treatment 2nd treatment just as much
    • Requested donation this year of Lake members $250
    • Patrick will send out an email for solicitation of donations
    • Temp has to reach 50 degrees before treating.  Craig would like to get on it first week of April
  • Dave Tabbut Curly Leaf Update
    • Weed is invasive specie starts growth in the fall and grows through the winter
    • Early treatment we are targeting and destroying the curly leaf pondweed before it's pod develops with limited effect on the other plants that are non-invasive.  In favor of early treatment
  • DNR Grant we were not able to get this year
  • Wright County Grant will be due in April 
    • Approximately $500
  • Dues $100 and $250 for Curly leaf treatment just send 1 check
    • Motion made by Michelle second by Angela to set curly leaf treatment donation at @ $250.   Motion passed.
    • Jim / Jane / Anne / Theresa would like to be on the committee to assist in reaching out to people that have not contributed
  • Discussion of selling Gary’s Lake Martha stuff and proceeds no decision made
  • Motion made by Michelle and seconded by Lisa B to fund treating again this season. Motion passed unanimously.
  • Patrick to work with Craig to get on the schedule to treat as soon as possible
  • Discussion:  Would like to setup a Venmo with a QR code no decision made

Additional New Business:

Maintenance on Lake Pumps / Aeration

  • The pumps are good for about 8,000 hours between rebuilds which is a year of continuous operation.  That’s two summers for us.
  • We are up for a rebuild this year.  I have submitted for a rebuild kit quotation.  It should be around $150 per pump.  6 pumps = $900.
  • Look to bring back team that installed the pumps and if we have the right pumps
  • Motion made and seconded to keep pumps going this year and approve funding to rebuild pumps. Motion passed unanimously.

Yoga on the Lake 6:00PM at Jim and Angela Miller’s House, Angela to communicate dates and times

University of MN Iron treatment ("Minnesota Filter"), Wright Soil and Water is looking for money in order to get it done.  

  • Jim will talk to Wright County Soil and Water to continue to sample and reach out to them around progress of farm runoff.
